Full Day Excursion - 9/25

On the Tuesday excursion you will have the opportunity to experience many unique facets of Wisconsin. We will start by visiting House on the Rock (www.thehouseontherock.com) in Spring Green, WI.  It is a complex of very architecturally distinct rooms, streets, gardens, and shops designed by Alex Jordan Jr.  We will then travel Northeast to Sauk City for a personal tour of Wollersheim Winery (www.wollersheim.com) including a tasting.  As described by the Wisconsin Dells Vacation Guide, the winery is recognized as being one of the leading wineries in the Midwest and is a national historic site that sits on a scenic hillside overlooking the Wisconsin River.  After the tour we will continue North to Wisconsin Dells for a unique tour, on a Duck!  This is a combination land and water tour of the beautiful Wisconsin Dells area in a purpose-built amphibious tour bus that transforms from bus to boat and back again.  After this delightful tour we will head back South.  After a break for dinner we will arrive at the Mousehouse (www.mousehousecheese.com).  Here you will have a chance to taste and buy some of Wisconsin’s finest cheese, sausage and homemade fudge.  Wisconsin themed souvenirs such as cheese heads are also available.

Dear Sponsor,

We are pleased to announce that the 51st International Symposium of North Eastern Accelerator Personnel (SNEAP) will be from September 23rd to September 27th, 2018, at the University of Wisconsin, located in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. This conference is hosted by the Department of Engineering Physics and the Grainer Institute of Engineering.

The Audience:

The Symposium is an important platform for the international accelerator technical and engineering community. This community periodically meets to discuss and exchange information relevant to maintenance, operation, management of accelerators and associated facilities, and also to cultivate networks and partnerships in design and development. SNEAP topics typically cover ion sources, electrostatic and RF accelerators, telemetry and control systems, safety issues, and many other topics relevant to the operation of small to medium sized electrostatic accelerator laboratories. In addition to these topics, the intent is to also invite attendees from small universities and research groups, with a focus on the trials and tribulations of starting new accelerator labs. Space for vendors is made available to allow attendees to speak directly with manufacturers and their representative and to inspect new devices and products.

Preview of the Program:

The conference will begin with a welcome reception on Sunday the 23rd, followed by formal proceedings on Monday the 24th. A full or partial day excursion will be held on Tuesday to highlight some of the best parts of Madison and the surrounding areas (the schedule will be determined soon). Wednesday will begin with formal presentations, followed by tours of the Tandem Accelerator Labs at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and the National Electrostatics Corp. Manufacturing Facility in the afternoon. A banquet dinner will be in the evening to cap off the day. Thursday will mark the final day of the symposium, allowing attendees to stay and enjoy Madison or travel to nearby cities such as Milwaukee or Chicago for the weekend.

Opportunities:

This forum is an opportunity to showcase the latest technologies and services to experts in accelerator design and maintenance. We seek your support through sponsorship and participation to help us maximize the interactions between participants and your company and products. It is our intention this year to use some of this generosity to help support student participation to engage the next generation of accelerator scientists and engineers.

Logos and branding will be made visible throughout the week where possible on splash screens and program materials supplied to the delegates. Should your company wish to support this community we are offering the following opportunities:

Logo and Full-Page Ad (unlimited): USD $400: Includes placing your logo on all conference related materials (including conference website) and a full-page ad in the abstract book.

USB Drives (one available): USD $550: Includes placing sponsor provided USB drives (to be preloaded with sponsor information) that will be included with all participant’s registration information at check-in. The agenda and abstracts will be added to the USB drives by the volunteer staff prior to check-in.

Sunday Reception Sponsorship (one available): USD $1,000: Includes introducing and thanking the sponsor during the opening reception.

Wednesday Banquet Sponsorship (one available): USD $1,500: Includes introducing and thanking the sponsor during the conference banquet.

Student Support (unlimited): USD $500 to USD $1,500 (sponsor’s choice): This sponsorship opportunity will lend financial support to encourage students to attend the conference. The sponsor will be commended during the conference banquet and given the opportunity to present the award to the student.

Varsity Sponsor (unlimited): USD $1,000: Includes logo placement and full-page ad (see above), a table or booth to set up your product display for the week (details to be determined), and conference registration for 1 person.

Please contact the conference organizers for further information or suggestions. Sessions can also be sponsored upon request.

Note: Registration includes morning and afternoon coffee breaks, lunches, the conference banquet dinner, facility tours, and excursions.

We look forward to your support and welcome any suggestions that will make the 2018 51st International Symposium of North Eastern Accelerator Personnel successful. We pride ourselves on the interactions with our suppliers that keep laboratories like ours at the forefront of technology, and wish to make this event as rewarding for our sponsors as it is for our delegates.
